A Soviet/Russian medal to commemorate the 1st and only flight of the Russian space shuttle Buran in 1988. The medal is made out of the metal of the flown shuttle and is a true medal flown in outer space. The medal is 60mm in diameter and is made in an extremely low circulation and presented only to astronauts, cosmonauts, spacecontrol center staff and other high ranking officials.
