The owner of this flown collection is Rita Laws, who has written for many different numismatic magazines. In 2004, she wrote an article called "Flown Medals and Tokens: Space Flight Relics" for which she gathered space flown medals for several months. She thinks it was published by Coin World magazine. She found quite a few of these gold dipped Apollo 13 medals for sale during her research phase.
